Summary:
The Financial Planning Analyst plays a key role in analyzing the financials of a division / staff functionProvides the Head of FP&A and Finance Business Partners (FBP) with ad hoc and periodic analyses that enables the planning, budgeting, and forecasting (PBF) process and business intelligence (BI)Schedule & Location:
This position is office-based in Johnston, RI and follows a full-time schedule Monday through FridayStart and stop times are flexible with core business days on-site Monday through ThursdayOccasional domestic travel may be required based on business needsDelivers quality and timely management reporting to include in planning, budgeting, and forecasting for FBPs and division/staff function decision-makersSupports FBPs with both ad hoc and periodic analyses of the financial performance of a division/staff function to enable PBF process and BIDevelopment of monthly management reporting and financial analysis process for a division/staff functionProactively provides transparent and frequent financial updates, business trends, opportunities, and actionable insights for FBPs that directly relate to strategic initiatives and growth opportunitiesMaintains engagement with Head of FP&A and FBPs to ensure accurate delivery of analysisHelps develop key assumptions and drivers of PBF process by challenging current ideasRequired Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience Highly Preferred Education:
Professional certification e.gCPA, ACA, ACCA Master's degree Required Work
Experience:
7
years of related work experience in finance/accounting is required Highly Preferred Work
Experience:
Finance experience at an insurance company is highly preferred Required Skills:
